Dream Product or Feature

Hi @mark.2,
Welcome to D-BOX PLUS!!
It actually really is a thing! D-BOX works with partners in the aviation industry to deliver training simulations equipped with the D-BOX haptic technology. You can learn more on our Simulation & Training business and check out our current list of partners on our website. Feel free to reach out if you have a specific project in mind or are interested in integrated D-BOX into your own training simulator.

I wish the HEMC unit uses the HDMI connector to get the sound in, as many AVRs do not have a stereo output for the downmix to go into the stereo 3,5mm jack input. Most AVRs have 2 HDMI outputs and if not, an HDMI splitter is easy to use. When using an HDMI audio extractor, there is the problem that digital audio only outputs from the coaxial or optical output and not from the 3,5mm stereo jack and therefor is absolutely useless.

Using the HEMC’s HDMI should be possible through a software update I guess?

Some thoughts:

  1. As others mentioned, picking the movie thats playing would help the startup time.
  2. Two, Three, and/or four seat couches with built in actuators might allow for a nice upgrade over my custom loveseat frame and SRP-330.
  3. I have a HEMC, really nothing about it is user friendly, and most of the time adds 10 minutes of retries, power cycles, etc before it, and the seats are aligned. #1 could help with that, but the network connectivity always seems iffy too. Also lumped in here, sell a box that takes HDMI in, and provides the stereo downmix out. I know they exist, but it would be nice to have a certified option. Right now i have my primary receiver sending zone 2 to an old receiver, then head phone out from there to HEMC. My pre-outs are not available as they go to separate amps. And its dumb to use an old receiver for this.
  4. Get notified if the seats are left on. I have mine on a smart switch, but it decided to turn itself on one day and the seats were on for weeks before i noticed (i dont get to use the system as much as i once did)
  5. Faster releases. Wonder Woman 1984 was day one so it seems like its doable. Some of your tv shows come out after the whole season is done it seems like

Ok, this is going to sound crazy but what about a D-BOX enabled couch for the whole family? And to go along with that D-BOX encoded shows

It would be really fun if D-BOX chairs had a slight temperature element, like if a flying scene was a bit cooler and a fighting scene was more hot!

I would be interestng if there were haptics in the footrest of D-BOX chairs!

I woud really just like a wider range of D-BOX products

wow that’s a fun idea!

We are working on it

You may have been ill advised. Adding surge and yaw to a gen 3 would be about $6000 all in and a much better solution that the PT.

VR features

A fully programmable D-BOX bed… like one of those fancy moving beds!

That’s a good one

Hey james!

D-BOX is independant compatible and therefore compatible with some VR titles, however we are working on expanding our compatible catalog!

D-BOX intergration with Oculus headsets!

The ability to build motion and haptic profiles based on the inputs of joysticks, throttles etc. For games that perhaps don’t offer telemetry data and aren’t on the supported list of games. Think elite dangerous, star citizen and the like.

I would just love to see more D-BOX VR experiences

I would like D-BOX to work with the Oculus.
